Tough workout today. This is a workout that I dread before hand but is definitely worthwhile. Total of 12 miles today with 7 miles at sub 6 paces.

After warm-up ran the following on track.

3200m - 11:54 {6:00|5:54} 5min rest

3 x 1600m - 5:41|5:41|5:40 3min rest between

3200 - 11:36 {5:48|5:48}

Overall pleased with results of this workout. Used to do this much faster but I am getting there step by step.

+1 on that. Just keep plugging away. If you are patient, it will come...

Nice to "meet" you by the way. I think you were on blog hiatus when I joined the blog last year. I've heard some good things about you, and look forward to seeing your progress.

Thanks guys. I did notice your blogs Jake. You are running some great mileage. You are venturing into territory that I never did. At one point I was in the 130+ range and running PRs with plans to venture a little higher and see what happened. However, a little thing called Iraq came along and ended those plans. Right now I am just glad to be back in the 70+ range per week and making some sort of comeback. At my age I am not sure to what level I can get back to but I guess we will see eventually.
