Running Accomplishments:

400m = 55.7; 800m = 2:03; 1500m = 4:08; 1 Mile = 4:24; 2 Mile = 9:28; 5k = 15:26; 8k = 25:35; 10k = 32:12; 15k = 49:50; 10 Miles = 54:11; 1/2 M = 1:13:50 (during marathon); Marathon = 2:28:31

Short-Term Running Goals:

Return to previous running form! Using WMA tables try and break my younger days PR equivalents. The easiest of these should be my half marathons I have not run many halfs and it is therefore my slowest PR. So my goals for the next couple years are:

400 - 60 (WMA = 55.7)

800 - 2:11 (WMA = 2:03)

1m - 4:42 (WMA = 4:24)

2m - 10:06 (WMA = 9:28)

5K - 16:27 (WMA = 15:26)

8K - 27:16 (WMA = 25:35)

10K - 34:20 (WMA = 32:12)

15K - 52:42 (WMA = 49:50)

10M - 57:13 (WMA = 54:11)

1/2M - 1:17:31 (WMA = 1:13:50)

MARA - 2:33:27 (WMA - 2:28:31)

Long-Term Running Goals:

Not sure yet. Attempt to reach my maximum potential as a master's runner, whatever that may be.

Personal:

I'm in the Army. I am married with four children (17/14/10/5 years old). Currently working at BYU as the head of the Army ROTC program. Trying to return to previous running form after having microfracture knee surgery in July 2008.

Ok, so I have been extremely busy and lagging on my blogging. I have not done much workout wise this week other than a lot of walking. However, things are really starting to feel pretty good with the knee. The overall leg strength is better but the left leg is still significantly weaker thant he right. The good news is walking and going up and down stairs is going very well with little to no pain. I have actually even taken a few jogging steps a couple days this week not even thinking about it and I have had to catch myself and stop from doing so. When I have taken a few jogging steps the great news is that I have almost no pain whatsoever. I will go back to the PT next week and see what he says about how soon I can attempt to run again. I am anxious to do so but at the same time I do not want to do so to soon. So I think it will be mid to late November before I am cleared to even try running again. I am ok with that and even if it is not until December I can live with that as well. I look forward to getting back into a normal routine again next week.
